Definition and Synonyms

Definition: Encoded by the HCK proto-oncogene, HCK appears to be a SRC-family tyrosine kinase, expressed primarily in hematopoietic cells, especially of myeloid lineage and particularly in mature granulocytes and monocytes. HCK deletions may contribute to some acute myeloid leukemias and myeloproliferative disorders. (from OMIM 142370 and NCI)
