Definition and Synonyms

Definition: The 94 kD B-RAF serine/threonine protein kinase is a signaling factor critical for formation of the vascular system. Fusion of TIF1A to B-RAF results in production of a TIF1-alpha-B-RAF oncoprotein. The BRAF gene encodes the human homologue of the avian c-Rmil proto-oncogene. (from OMIM 164757 and NCI)
